Right in my front yard!!! Had to chase the deer away from them!!! They thought they would be a tasty treat. Great week end for weather and now it is getting all overcast, but still warm out, don't have to have a coat on! I even watered the yard some. Getting into the weed pulling, moving things around mentality.

Recovery!

Did you see my new xmas slippers from my friend Janmarie? I like them lots!!!! guess you would have to stand on your head to get the whole idea :)
Am feeling much better, that was a long stretch of awful sickness for me! am now eating rice, bananas and yogurt, my Friend Carol would always feed her daughter that after she had been sick to aid her little digestive system getting back in order and thought it would be good for me too!!! I added papaya and cottage cheese too, yummmm.
I always have fond memories of rice, bananas and yogurt!!!
Well on my way to recovery!!!!

I have had the flu! got a shot so am not supposed to get this (as Whoopi on the View would say, WHAT THE HELL!!!!!)

Getting Ready

Still South of Sunriver housesitting until monday at about noon, getting RV ready for it's first run -leaving 4th may for Big Sur for a family wedding!!!! It is very exciting. (getting the rv ready or the wedding, hard to tell which :) will take photos. It is my oldest niece, she is a teacher in southern cal, has held onto a job for the last 3 years. The budget is not good from year to year and she still gets offered a job back, good for her!!!! Proud that she has stuck with it and is realizing her dreams.
We have an overcast day today, but warm out there, were i home, would do some yard work. I did have to get up early, 7am to be in Bend for yearly mamogram, hope you all do that too!!! Did stop by the house and sit with little Luci for awhile, she was very needy and upset when i left......

Oooooo, the most AWFUL thing happened when i left the house Wednesday, i was getting a box from the dark recesses of the garage and stepped on something, almost made me fall down, i slipped, and was cussing out the dogs as sure one of them pooped out there! got papertowels to clean up, turned on the lights and it was a dead mouse!!!!!! oh, ick, ick, ick!!!!!! after stepped on it, it was really smoosed. so very thankful was NOT in bare feet, had on my shoes!!!! (when i get home will have to investigate and take care of a mouse problem???))

Sunriver

I am housesitting south of Sunriver, again. We are having a big thunder storm, can hear the thunder in the distance. The big red dog, Midas, rolled in poop and had to get him cleaned up, he smells like Joy now! Ha, Ha!!!! Starting a new afghan. Don't know what i am going to do with all of these. but i like the challenge of getting them together, keeps me occupied.

Time

It has been a long time since i put anything on here. We have had some pretty serious 'problems' happen in the family and i have been occupied with running hither and yon and on the phone for quite a bit of time. It is not regarding my son or me, thank heavens, but serious none the less. Hoping that something "good" may happen to share with you all any day now.

More Carl

A boy and his dog! Last Friday my son took me to lunch, this does not happen very often, but occurring more and more, which makes mama happy. We had a nice time and talk. Here is Carl again, he is nothing but happy when Brian picks him up and carries or holds him, all 50 # of him, i mean geez, louise........ we do, in my family, love our animals!!!
that is a good thing :)
We had about 4 inches of snow this morning, but it is gone already, which is good, sun shinning right now, can't wait for MORE of Spring to show itself
