Sleep Study

Just look at this, and then the thing was not in my nose yet! And halfway thru the night they hooked me up to a CPAP. That thing just rushed air into me, i was so bloated!!  Belching and (farting)  it was awful, they did not leave it on me all the rest of the night even, BUT i did feel more rested and wide awake, at 8am!!!
But they glue all these things on your head and legs and an ET finger, then say 'have a good night's sleep', right, but took the Ambien and was down for the night. Don't you love the wings in my hair, may try for that look all the time! Think it makes me look perky!! We can all use a dose of perk....
Nice room and good bed tho. And one more step out of the way.
Sleep well all :)

  1. I love your "pigtails"!! I have a friend who uses a CPAC and has been through the sleep testing. She feels so much better. Good luck to you. - hobopals

  2. I went through that and I thought I would never get the glue out of my hair. They wanted me to come back for a follow-up so they could calibrate a CPAP for me. Just couldn't do it!! Good luck to you.

  3. Wow Loree, that does NOT look like fun. I commend you on your great attitude and sense of humor. Is this a step on the way to the bypass? How many more steps to go? do you have a date yet??? wishing you well on this very big and exciting journey!

  4. I did that sleep study several years back, and have a picture like yours to remind me. I did sleep pretty well through it, however...don't know how! Got a CPAP machine that I'm supposed to be using, but just don't use it most of the time since my nose runs a lot and that makes it hard for me. I should maybe get a different mask. CPAP's are good and they do help.

  5. wow... nice to meet you, Loree. Thanks for joining me on my blog! I'm also a fellow Aries... we're something, aren't we? I try hard to keep my mouth shut ... so I started a blog and now it's my fingers! lol

Just started reading your posts ... you're going to have to have a bypass? bummer

I want to read more - again, nice to meet you ;)

  6. Love the look. Definitely perky. Jim has a CPAP machine but he doesn't use it like he's supposed to. I love it when he does because he doesn't snore and I get more sleep. Keep posting and let us know how things are going.

  8. Well you certainly made it sound not too bad. I have had a lot of sleep troubles not associated with anything that anyone could find. So they wanted me to do a study but I so hate not being able to sleep that I wouldn't do it. I couldn't imagine how I could sleep with all that CRAP (not CPAP) all over me. :-)

  10. I would need a big sleeping pill to sleep with that rig on:)

  11. It was suggested that I go through a sleep study with that CPAP equipment but didn't have any insurance at the time so didn't do it. I have sleep apnea really bad but I placed a small fan next to my bed directed to my face and it blows on my all night long. It seems to help me somewhat.

Wishing you well on your surgery.
