Heat ON!!

Had to turn UP the heat, again!! Put on flannel jammies, jacket and fuzzy, heavy socks. the weather took a dump today for sure.  There was one little window of time, where i mowed the lawn & weeded and it was comfortable out there.
These are the trees in the back with their newly minted leaves. Such a pretty color.
LOOK!!  the lilacs are bloomin'!!!  It makes me happy. Also u can see Carl and Luci little butt out the left of the frame, she moved too fast :)  And Brian wants to cut these down, NOT while i live and breathe!!
They are SO beautiful. My dream was to carry lilacs when i got married.  that never came to pass.  They are just so fragrant and pretty. Just love them.  Also have a white one just to the right of this one, but it is taking longer to come out.
These were at the church this morning, it is a TREE!!  I want one! But don't know what it is! At the church for bible study.
This is by the church too, also want one of these. It is a bush, don't know what this is either.
Had a productive day, those are always good days. Also went to a Bariatric Support Group meeting.  Those are always fun or at least informative.  It is nice to meet with and talk to people going thru the same thing.
So accomplished something (lawn mowing & weeding) and had interaction with people of my age and demographics.
Take Care and God Bless all

  1. My grandmothers back yard was full of lilacs and we lived next door. So every time I smell lilacs I am transported back to childhood. I love them.

  2. I love lilacs, too. We had them in Iowa where I grew up and I was so glad to see lilacs again when we moved to Washington. Our weather was cold today and tonight we have a frost warning...just when everyone was getting so excited about finally getting some spring weather!

  3. What nice things come out once they get a little sun, eh? Sure nice to see all the color. We've been enjoying some warmer weather over here, too. Got some things planted in the flower gardens, always more to do. Take care. Thanks for sharing.

  4. Your lilacs are beautiful. I had a big bush at one house, and loved to cut them and put in a vase on the dining room table. Your photo brought back some good memories. :)

  5. I too love lilac trees. We are too warm to grow them where we live in the Coromandel Peninsula, New Zealand.

The other shrub by the church looks like something we call Pieris Japonica, Temple Bells

    Blessings

  6. Cut down the lilacs? Why in the world would he want to do that. They are among THE most wonderful bushes ever. Heavenly smell.

At least your heat is one you turn on. Ours is one we can't turn off. :-)

Love seeing Carl. Tried to email you about a girlfriend for him but can't find your address.

  7. that last picture of white flowers on a shrub -- that's a shrub called andromeda. I have one in my front yard. Sometimes they're white and sometimes they're pink. I like andromedas. They grow really well and are very hardy. Love you, Nora
