Dreamin'

Watching "Ellen"....she has the most beautiful backdrop (is that what it is called? the picture in the back of the stage)  of a house in the snow, with a deep porch & glowing windows in the dusk.
The kind of house i would have liked to have lived in forever. Trees about, on a farm, a house full of kids ( at least 4) Husband working the fields.  You cook for weeks prior to the Holidays and everyone comes home. Everyone is happy ( i know, not everyone is happy all the time, but it is my dream) no one is ever sick, bad things don't happen, just love and happiness. Knocking the snow off their boots in the mudroom, shouts of "Hello" how nice to see you, have you here..... my how everyone has grown..... coffee/cocoa is on by the stove, go sit by the fire and warm up...how was the drive?
Doesn't it sound nice? Happy, normal?
Take Care All & God Bless......Have a Merry Christmas.....

  1. Sounds beautiful but definitely not my normal. Have wonderful Christmas memories of my childhood and hopefully passed some of those on to my son.

  4. Sounds lovely and the stuff of books and movies rather unfortunately than of real life. But in our dreams we get to have anything we want whether it is "real" or not. It's your dream so enjoy it!

  6. You know, Loree, I just have to tell you how much I love your blog. I know I don't comment all the time, but most often I am reading in google reader and then have to go open up the blog in a different way to comment. But it is so down to earth, reminds me of a life that I once dreamed of living as well. Baking, decorating, card making, simple stuff and you write about it with delightful lovely simplicity. Since I haven't commented much lately, I just wanted you to know how much I enjoy reading about your daily stuff. and the Big stuff as well, like getting under that 200 mark. Whew! what an accomplishment. Have a nice Christmas, Loree.
