Last Picture

This is the last picture, I promise, of he doily, but I finished and wanted to share the end result!!  Put my hand in there so there is some perspective, it is really quite a large one, don't know what I will do with it  :)  but it is finished.....
Below is a close-up of he 'pineapples' and that crazy folded border in the middle, that was SO easy to do!!  Really...
Having a stew that has been cooking all day for dinner, yum!!!
Take Care All

tried to get these final statements down by the picture of the stew but the cursor would NOT move, why is that???

  1. You've done an excellent job. It's very pretty. It's a long time since I did some crochet .... perhaps it's time I found my hooks again.

    Blessings.

  3. oh wow.... that stew! I can smell it... the doily is beautiful. Reminds me of my Grandmother. She made exquisite doilies ... I thought it was a lost art! She would make a full table size one ... well, almost full size ... it would hang off the edge in points... so pretty.

Maybe that would be a tablecloth lol.. doilies were not that large, right? I dunno ... whatever ! your doily is beautiful!

  4. Gorgeous doily. You really did a great job. But that stew looks beyond delicious. I've been having trouble with pictures loading in blogs but yours came in just fine. I don't get it at all.

  5. The Doily is just beautiful. Reminds me of my aunt. She used to do those pineapple stitches with roses in the center.

  7. Very lovely! Reminds me of my Grandma's house. I think she used either starch or sugar water and had doilies that were "ruffled"... standing up in waves. I love the green and white combination of your colors.

  8. Beautiful doily. Does it give me the itch to crochet again......not. Maybe knit again. The stew looks great. I have not made that in many many years.

  9. That is one gorgeous doily! I want you to know that I still use the doily you sent me a couple of years ago. My evening glass of wine sits upon it proudly. :)

  11. I'm a little late commenting, but had to tell you your doily is beautiful. It's hard to believe anything about it was easy, I guess experience and practice make it so - for you. I'm sure you'll find a good place to display it.
