2nd Day- Astoria Column

Here we are on Neahkahnee Mt...
Twin Rocks is North of Tillamook just before Rockaway Bch!!!

The requisite picture of Cannon Beach..Patti was duly impressed..on the way back we ate at Mo's, YUMMO!!!  she had fish tacos that were REALLY good!!!  I had the chowder and was happy as a clam... could not resist  :)

I climbed the Astoria column.. and got all the way to the top,  got great panoramic pictures!!! and was not too exhausted after either.  but then I was not trying to haul over #300# up there!!!

We also went to Fort Clatsop... and these were all over in the woods, pretty.  Also went to Home Bakery,  east of Astoria....   oh my goodness, the things they have there!!!  Not much protein tho  ;0

Take Care all and God Bless

  1. Oh, my favorite town. I lived there for a few years. You are right nothing beats Home Bakery. Did you go to the Maritime Museum or ride the trolley? I always said it takes three days to take in all of Astoria. So much to see and do there.

  2. Your twin rocks picture is wonderful as is your trillium. What a great day. I have put shell pictures up on my last two posts just for you my fellow beach lover. Thanks for the pictures of a beautiful west coast beach. I'll get there one of these days.

  3. We have loved Astoria, but of course, we love all of the Oregon coast. Very impressed with your backlit shot of the column. Never thought of doing that. Your wonderful weight loss sure makes a differece, doesn't it!!?

  4. Love Astoria. There's so much to see and do there. Climbing all the way to the top of Astoria Column is on my to-do list, too, now that I've lost weight.
