Conservation??

There is NO water conservation going on in this household  :).  trying to lay on the water to the little grassies in the yard, what with the heat we are getting..... yard is doing well.... at one point had the sprinkler on, the dishwasher going and  a wash in the laundry room.  And on my 3rd load of clothes... sometimes it just works out that way and seems as if everything is dirty at the same time..  got another flower at the store today.  Put that in and moved some sedum from the back yard to the front.
Managed to get myself up and to the movie at 11:15a this morning.  Saw 'The Heat' with Sandra Bullock and Melissa McCartney. Love both of them, it was a fun movie.  BUT  there were about 20 people there and we ALL had WHITE hair!!!  Must be the time for us to catch a movie.  It was pretty funny....  maybe you had to be there....
Drug out my fan and extension cord, had to go get another surge protector thingy as all my outlets were used where I have to plug it in due to TV, internet connection and what nots that go with cable, plus had to have a light on my new desk & moved the printer in there too...LOTS of things plugged in!!  That's it for the excitement in the Tanner household...hahaha
Take Care All & God Bless

  1. I can't remember the last time I went to a movie. I get claustrophobic in places like that where I have to sit still. Funny about all the white hair!

  2. Well, that's water and power, and I guess your sewer is working, too, in order to handle all that water. Your "full-hookups" are coming in handy!

I have been meaning to comment that I saw the book "The Wilder Life" by Wendy McClure on your book list and I read it and enjoyed it immensely. I am a "Little House" fan! I also liked "Bleeding Kansas", and of course, "Call the Midwife".

  3. Just think of it this way - when your grass comes in good it will help keep the house cooler and you will use less A/C or electricity for fans...and less water on the mature grass. It's all a matter of perspective LOL!!

  5. Saw "The Heat" myself with a friend. All gray heads as well. We did the 12:45 movie.....I know what you mean about the water.....just trying to remember to turn the water off while I brush my teeth does not always happen. Had to water the garden last week because of no rain...then, a few days of down pours this week...oh well.

  7. I haven't been to a movie theater since 'Gorillas in the Mist.' That was before I had white hair. ;)

  8. Will yours be the kind of grass that is native so it will deal well with drought and heat or will you have to water forever and ever in the summer? Sure hope your water and power bills aren't through the roof.

  9. We are running the sprinklers every day. It has been at least 18 months since we have been in a movie theater.
