Day With the Kiddos

 First they showed us some chalk drawings they made of themselves... pretty good!!

 Laithe would NOT go in the fountain!!  Just sat and ate Goldfish crackers and sweat!!!  He was not happy...

 Guthrie had a good time but not as much fun as if you had someone else to play with....

 The ones that won't fly away from me....  but they were great sculptures

 Then we went to the Old Town Bakery in Moline...  They had a thriving cake business...  Got a bunch of sugar cookies for the family, then dropped the box and had broken cookies and lots of crumbs  :(  Kids did not seem to mind tho...

 We ate lunch at Noodles... Guthrie and my favorite place.... then to Monkey Joe's for some play on the inflatable toys.... lots of slides/climbing.. much more sweatiness.. but Laithe wanted to do this so that was a good thing....

AND this is the only reasonable picture I was able to get..  in the first place they are tired of getting their pictures taken all the time, and they moved to fast for me to keep up with !!!
Throughout the day there was also lots of driving about trying to find the right road to the bridge or where IS that bakery???  and at 8pm it was still 86 degrees and the humidity had shot up to 80%  so... it is nice and muggy  and feels really, really HOT n sticky!!!!  Carol is trying to get last minute things together to be able to leave on Tuesday.. Laithe has some oral surgery he has to undergo on Friday and the family is leaving for a vacation to some dunes in Indiana also,  so things are up in the air and in get ready mode there too.....  But it is great seeing them and getting to DO things with them...
