Around Town

This is what the rabbit brush looks like when over the hill, with the sun shining thru/on it....
On my walk in the 'dry canyon' this afternoon

Street behind Redmond Senior High.. aren't those trees something??

Across the street from my house....

AND LOOK what was peeking out from under some of the leaves under my front bedroom window!! Sneaky little primrose!!

This tree in the side/backyard, it dropped ALL of its leaves in ONE day!!! Can you even believe that?  It is true.  From yesterday to today half of the leaves in town have fallen... This is one weird tree....  it gets its leaves really late too, makes me think it is dead both years we have been here, then all of a sudden there are little leaflets in the Spring, way after other trees.... then here it is in the Fall all at once it looses ALL the leaves in one day!!!  My....  It also has a nasty black sap stuff at a certain times too, can't remember when that is.... ick!!!
We had excitement on the cul de sac today, the PO-lice were out and had a guy stopped across the street, there were 3 cop cars, one had a drug dog-or what I assumed was one, the guy was right there so not like they needed a tracker.. Even had him all cuffed at one point, but then he drove off in his pick up, so guess it was not as bad as they thought ????

Take Care All & God Bless

  1. Great photos, especially the one of the red trees! You don't see color like that in the west very often.

  2. Those red trees are so incredible. Really makes you wonder what in the world was going on across the street.

  3. Beautiful red trees. I had to laugh about your primroses. We cut the clematis back to the ground thinking they were finished for the season.Wrong. We have beautiful lavender blooms climbing clear up to the gutters. And all our perennials are growing back to. Even my Mr. Lincoln has a bud on it again.... What's up with that?

  5. Maybe it was a case of mistaken identity with that guy. Must have scared the heck out of him.

I love primroses, used to plant bunches of them in my yard. :)
