Thanx!!

Brian works for Springtime Landscaping & Irrigation out of Bend, Oregon.  Yesterday they gave their employees a turkey!!! and a ham!!!  5 # potatoes, rolls, can of green beans, can of corn, gravy packet and a letter of appreciation.  It was such a nice thing to do BUT such a boost to his ego that someone cared about him and valued the work he has done for them this year.  It is so hard to find an employer in his pay grade, which is not really much above the minimum wage at this point that values the people they have working for them, so many employers think they are expendable and can easily be replaced.  Many more where they came from.  Brian is up early and out the door every morning and NEVER takes a day off for any reason.  No work, no pay.  And hardly complains, just grateful for the work.  Even when working on a million dollar home, when he knows that one can hardly aspire to that level of living.
SO... we are truly grateful and thankful for his job and an employer who values the work done for him and his pay.

Take Care All & Have a Blessed Day Tomorrow!!!

  2. The last time I got a turkey from an employer was back in 1987 when I was working in a factory. I didn't think they did that anymore. Good for Brian on a job well done!

  3. How very nice for Brian. It really is wonderful to be appreciated. I've known a lot of people who felt they were hardly even known at their jobs even though they worked very hard. Good for Brian to be recognized as such a valuable and responsible employee. Enjoy your thanksgiving feast.

  5. I have heard of giving a turkey or a ham, but never all the fixings! Very nice to honor his hard work.

  8. Good for Brian.... an ego boost is such a simple thing to give ... just don't understand why people dislike giving rewards for good work... sure makes for a better employee...

Happy Thanksgiving, Loree ;) and Luci ... and Brian...
