Spring!

Mom's Lentin Rose!!

The Deschutes river at Cline Falls near Redmond
River is high, grass is turning green.. be interesting to see what it looks like at the end of the summer.

Sometimes it looks like the geese are making nests no matter the water depth, it is where they always have been!  These were really being industrious...

The leaves are barely coming out...  the mountains have rocks showing already. We got 12 inches of snow last week at Mt Bachelor, but not enough and almost too late...  Yesterday was a wonderful, warmish day, but today there is a cool breeze,  which made it uncomfortable to be out for any length of time. Brother Jerry and sil were helping with a yard sale, went to visit them for awhile, but the wind in Jefferson Co is unrelenting, so did not stay for very long.
Went to a couple of estate sales this week end, brought home some knick knacks, like I need anymore of those.  Some good books too. I have a compulsion to go to those, don't know why, they are really sad, no one left to be the keeper of all those memories.  All the things that were important to those people.  I do like looking at the houses tho, one in Madras was stuck in the 70's, could even see the Brady Bunch living there, everything was so retro, the carpets, the windows, I don't think anything had been done to that house since it was built, it was in good shape, kept up well, but oh, was it dated, green shag rugs, sunken living room, lava rock surrounding the HUGE stove in family room, pull accordion shower/tub doors, bathroom fixtures in turquoise in one bathroom and black toilet and gold foil wallpaper in another :) it was something to see, but huge home, lots of room...
Take Care all and God Bless at this special and Blessed time of year....

  3. It is sad to think that all those things that meant so much to,someone are just discarded. Makes me wonder why we spend so much of our time and energy getting and taking care of them for so long. Well I am sure cheery. Beautiful rose.
