There is lots of traffic on the river. Must have been 4 BIG barge units (sure they are called something??) waiting for the locks this morning.. River was flat... this pic was from yesterday...
We had rain and drizzle today... but it is warmer!!! :) Carol fixing chicken divan for dinner, so very good, her mother's recipe and she always makes me it for me. It is one of those things, I try and try to make and it never tastes the same, unless SHE makes it!! We have just had a quiet day, reading, talking, making plans for next week, listening to the birds, doing some laundry. So very fun/relaxing/needed... So glad she is a friend 'o mine!!!
For those of you who follow and care, I have read a REALLY good book, new author... Diane Chamberlain, just finished Confessions of a Midwife, lots of characters, plot development good, lots of twists and turns and not the expected ending. Have 3 more here that I am ready to delve into. They are set in North Carolina. Love the area/state and cool to read about the area too.
AND also finished Off the Grid by CJ Box, these are really good books too!!! Wyoming game warden, Joe Pickett.. lots of action, poor guy don't know how he or his family survives???!!!

I am a fan of Diane Chamberlain's books. You introduced me to C.J. Box and now I am attempting to read his books in the order he wrote them. I am waiting for book two, Off the Grid. The first one I read was Badlands, and even though that book didn't feature Joe Pickett, it was really good. I highly recommend it.
