Love those windy roads of 101!! This is looking at the back side of Heceta Head where the Sea Lion Caves are...  This would be a perfect picture if there were a log truck roaring up the road..  Saw no trucks on the Coast but counted over 40 coming over the Santiam Pass!!! Someone has got a contract and work to do!!

And a close up!!! Even standing right here on the overlook where the caves are, you could smell the sea lions.... ug!!! Have not been down there in years to actually se the inside of the caves, but there were LOTS of cars there and people on the way, it is a sight for sure...

This is looking down on Florence area and the start of the dunes.  there is a lot of activity in this area and dune buggies, horse riding... that would be fun to do.... but then what to do with Luci, there is always a trade-off in having your friend with you and pretty much stuck to the car or shady areas, walks/hikes.....
You can see it was a beautiful day.  heard on the news that it was foggy over there yesterday and today, that darn inversion, get hot on the desert and in the valley and the Coast will have humid/fog at times.... but that is why you go over to get away from the heat. Standing on these overlooks, the wind was blowing away and the marine air was a tad crisp when you were right down on the beach.,,, but not where you were unable to stand it, had on a light windbreaker......
