OCTOBER!!!

I swear, i cannot believe it is October already.... really???
We have had crap rain, not really, really raining, just a moist something, at times dripping off the roof, but not often, had to turn on furnace, yes, really, just damp and miserable causing coldness.
Yesterday on the news there was SNOW on Mt Bachelor!!! That is a GOOD sign.  Wickiup Resevoir is running at 1% capacity..!!!! This is the place where water comes from Deschutes River to service Jefferson County, which is THE big farming area around here, and they had to cut off irrigating the farmlands about a month early due to the low flow of Deschutes River ... very sad.... and there is no climate warming, yeah, right...

Oh, above is Luci trying to take over Carl's bed, he is laying in the kitchen, growling, wants in his bed....

Doesn't it look like i have some work to do out here??? Already raked once and have the recyle bin FULL... Will have to start using the HUGE black bags!!!  Can't do anything now tho as everything is WET...

Have not done much of anything all week, it was clean house day and vacuumed up a storm, even did part of the garage!!!! Scrub bathroom, 4 loads of laundry...
Went to see A Star is Born... kept comparing it the the Kristofferson/Streisand one... oh well, i liked it, Cooper and Gaga did a great job.... the torments of alcohol and fame..... finished two books on the Holocast,  The Dutch Wife by Ellen Keith and the Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris  both good. Also read Whiskey in a Teacup by Reese Witherspoon, which was a cute book, good looking recipes in there.... Also got Sea Prayer by Khaled Hosseini, which is good but a disappointment as it is a poem and not a short novel as i expected...

Oh, have to tell on myself, left a burner on, on the stove for a couple hours, i guess,  after fixing dinner yesterday, my son is having a tizzy.....

And this is what the clothes line is for right now, a catch all... HA!!!

Went out to take these pictures and things have changed in front of the stove!!!  Luci followed me to the back door and Carl made a BIG move..... they are so funny.....
Now he is sound asleep... poor guy, needs his sleep.. Luci is pacing around him, trying to find a little scrap of cushion that she might lay on..... boy that spot in front of the stove is prime real estate... oops, she is now sitting there right next to him whining.... poor little thing, suppose i am going to have to go over and get her... uh-oh, Carl got up and moved to the area in from of the couch and Luci pounced into the bed, and is licking, licking, i suppose to get Carl's stink off.....

Such is the grand excitement in Redmond, Oregon..............................

Take Care and God Bless

P.S.  Brian came in, went to his bedroom to watch football and Carl is in there with him.... so i guess all is well in his world....

  1. We have two dog beds on the floor and Skittlez moves back and forth between them like she's trying to claim them both. Goofy mutts. I really don't miss taking leaves or mowing grass. It hasn't rained for two days out here but it is still so muggy. I am really looking forward to getting back to the desert.

  3. Saw your comment on my blog so thought I'd check yours out. It was fun! We are a one pet household and he has claimed the big bed, his little bed on the couch, either recliner by pulling our cover blankets down into a ball. I guess one pet is enough for us!! haha
Glad we don't have to rake the leaves too but they are pretty. We have a muggy day here today but I'm grateful for the warmth, it has been misty and cool for a week!
