Snow changes things in the most interesting ways..

No mail... put some cards in box yesterday and they are still there...
Had to cancel my nail appt, just dont want to try it...
Apparently there are 19 accidents between Bend and Redmond...
I can see ice dams forming on the roof... it melts a little then freezes, but never melts enough to get rid of it all, just refreezes....
The stove guy is still coming tho for the service call....
There wasn't anything overnight, so nothing to shovel this morning.... just had to get down to the mailbox, which was a fruitless journey, no paper either, for two days now...

Apparently they are wuses... we had a carrier b4 and HE never missed a day.....

i am over this tho, yes it is pretty, but is is mightily inconvenient, EVERYTHING just takes forever to do or get to.  The wonderful neighbor went to store yesterday and got eggs and milk for me... was able to whip out some chocolate chip cookies....
No activity in the cul-de-sac today tho... we are supposed to get 3-10 more inches tonight
Mt Bachelor now has 127 inches !!!! finally topped that magic 100 inch mark....
There were avalances on the Santiam and there is an Amtrac train stopped by tree across tracks in the valley near Oakridge for 40 hours now.... people running out of food and diapers... wasn't that a movie??

Take Care all and God Bless

  1. Been watching all that snow at home on both sides of the mountain. Intense! We picked a good winter to be away. Stay warm, Loree

  3. Glad you did not venture out. It is a bugger unless you are used to driving in the stuff. Even though I have driven in the snow for my entire life, having never lived in a warm climate except for the 2+ years in Kenya, I find with old age, I am less likely to go out unless I have made commitments to others. Pretty when the stuff is fresh. Our last snowfall is now frozen into ice mounds and gray.....

  4. I remember that kind of weather. We have friends who live in Sultan, Wa. They have been snowed in for a few days with all the snow. Looks so nice from FL:)
