Brushing

 Just Sayin'

I have over the last couple of decades had probs with receding gums and ultra sensitivity in teeth.  Am fortunate to have dental insurance that pays for bi-yearly cleaning.  Get alot of tartar also especially in the lower front teeth, inside... and i DO brush diligently and am flossing everytime! i eat....

AND for those of you who don't know i was a dental assistant in the Navy for 3 years, so i certainly know what i need to do to keep my teeth up.  BUT in saying that, things have changed SO much since i had done this that i might as well have been working in the dark ages!!!!

WELL... i have had recommended to me that i should get an electric toothbrush.... and held off.... you look for them and they are expensive!!! Well, my hygenist said, NO you do need to get one of those.... and low and behold you don't!!!! They sell single ones, i found this one at Wal-Mart and it was less that $30.. it was a bit hard to find tho, it is with the toothbrushes, but up high, had to look for it...

AND  it REALLY works.... only had a couple of receding spots and the lower teeth were not bad at all, i could not even see any calculus on them, which i normally had been able to do.  I do use sensitivity paste.... but teeth were NOT sensitive at all this time.... have used the paste for years and always had sensitivity, after using it in conjuction with the brush seems to have done a good job at whatever....  the sensitivity was horrid and like torture to get teeth cleaned, with me jumping here and there when they would hit a spot with their 'tools' .. none of that this time!!!!

And that little thing stays charged for a whole month!! don't have to leave it out on the charger at all, just charge for a couple hours then put the charger away, until it dies, then do it again...

It did take a bit to get used to and it does vibrate ALOT, wakes you right up!

BUT all in all am really pleased, thought i would share.... hope this is not gross for anyone....

Take Care and God Bless

  1. We've been using the $9 battery operated ones from Walmart but I may have to see about getting the rechargeable one.

  2. I make my own toothpaste...…..just like m mama. Switched three years ago. I got so tired of all the cavities every time I went to the dentist. Now, I have not had a cavity on three years.....
