rambling

 We are on the way to 109 degrees next week, but have had thunder storms nightly for a couple days, thought this sunset cloud was amazing.... Bend had LOTS of rain and hail last evening, even caused floods, which it normally does not do here, at all. strange...

Garden is doing awful, got bugs of some kind and go out every morning to more 'lacey' leaved stems, am sure those will not survive... have kept watering them tho, 'just in case' HA!!! 

89 right now.

niece and great-niece came and we placed flowers for mom n dad on the 16th.. what would have been their 75th wedding anniversary and it is also dad's mom's birthday..

It was so sweet of her to remember them that way... she lived with mom n dad from age 5-9... so she was pretty close to her.

She is always so very organized, keeps a REALLY clean home.  Has all sorts of activities going on all the time for the family, hikes, swimming, went there last summer and we made tie-dyed t-shirts , she is hosting holidays for our reduced family these days AND they have a little 5 acre plot that is just blooming with garden and flowers, they have 2 dogs, 3 cats, both work full time. So she is pretty busy.. she has also started going to lunch with me off and on, which is fun.. and they invite me to different things they are doing. Rylie just had her dance recital, hip-hop!!

these are flowers we got, i the yellow gerber and her the rest, she made a really pretty array with them.. (looks like i got that pic sideways, but u get the idea)

Luci went to her yearly exam.  she is fine, but she is completely deaf, only has 50% sight and has dementia.  She is in and out from about 3-9pm and at times she will just go out and stand, like, 'what did i come out here for?' She will wander about out there and eventually do her duty IF i go out and sit there.  She will continually look over to where i am and then continue with her exploring, until she has enough and will go to the door. She likes to walk about the house with me, when i am going back n forth doing things and has her nose on my leg he whole time.  AND should i inadvertently step on he toes, she screams like i flattened her, she is so dramatic...... but i think all in all she is doing well. and is a great comfort to me, most all of the time.... maybe when she has to go out for the 100th time in the last 10 min i am a bit exasperated...

little did i know that the most decisions i would have to make in my life were, what to have for dinner!!! sometimes i give up and just have cheese and chips.. not much protein there...

Fans are going like crazy, it's heating up.... slight wind... watered lawn yesterday.. odd days... garbage at the curb.. have enough groceries. just going to  isolate like i have for the last year... interesting to see how long i can go w/o using the car or going to Bend... went to Costco yesterday and that was the 1st time in Bend in a couple weeks!!! one thing the year has taught is how to 'make do'
