Right now in this area we have red bird of paradise and yellow bird of paradise blooming their hearts out, and lantana is spreading its colorful flowers. But those are all garden or display plants. Saguaro in their natural setting are blooming just in time for the migration of Mexican bats, who rely on the flowers, as the saguaro rely on the bats for pollination.
