Pissy Day!!

Went to have the oil changed in the Element, needed a front end alignment, they were having a special. So did that. Two hours at the local Honda dealer.  I go there as i get free oil changes as long as i have this car. Good deal and they know about Hondas so figure it is a good place to go to up-keep the car. Then to Les Schwab to rotate the tires.  Need new tires.  Geez, just had to get new ones for the pick-up!!!! They were showing wear due to the need of a front end alignment..one step ahead, BUT the middle of the tire was down to the wear line or where ever..... SO, did that.  another hour sitting, by this time my back was in fits again,  what is wrong with it!!!??  Got home made an appointment with the doctor for tomorrow morning.  As i could NOT get into a comfortable position, anywhere. Took some vicoden :) (oh, no, that is the last of that, what to do? Now don't get all worried i have had this bottle of liquid since the surgery in Feb, so don't feel i am an over user)) got the ice pack and heating pad and back to bed.  Was in bed early last night too.  Seems that after a DAY of being upright, the back hurts again. Since this has been going on now for a couple weeks, figured i better get myself to the doc.  Don't know what he can tell me. Have heard it is hard to diagnose back things.  Maybe since the fat is falling off things are rubbing together?  We will see. BUT something has to be done as tonight was worse than ever, had me in tears and i have things to do!!!  Can't be in bed all the time.  Geez!!!!

  1. Loree, so sorry to hear of your back pain. I can feel for you, as I suffer from some of that myself. Hope they can give you some idea as to what's going on there. We're still in Pendleton tonight, then we're heading south on 395 tomorrow. We don't know for sure which way we're going home, but we probably need to be home by this time next week. We'll be in touch if we get anywhere close to you, and we would hope to meet you somewhere, if you're feeling up to it then.

  4. What I love about you, Loree, is you can still make a funny comment in the midst of your pain......"fat falling off and things rubbing together" Made me laugh. Feel better. Praying for you.

  5. well, Loree, I'm glad you have the medicine to help you get through the back pain at least. I can't take that stuff, just throw up every time, which is the reason elective surgery is a nono for me. Can't do the pain meds! If I need knees, or a facelift or something like that I am in trouble, and will continue to hobble and look old! Good luck on your dr visit, hope he can track the trouble.

  6. Loree, the "fat falling off and things rubbing together" is very likely a large part of the current problem. Suzy's back had been doing quite a bit better until she had lost about 60 pounds, then it got worse. Now she's at 70+ pounds off (won't know the actual number till we get home next week) and still bad. Our own initial reaction was the same -- the spine had adjusted to her weight and structure; now the weight and structure are seriously changing for the better, and the back is trying to adjust. By the way, are you telling how much you have lost? We'd love to know.
