Book Review

Just finished Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn.  It has been on the best seller lists of everyone for months! I think both of them, the husband and wife in the story, are both crazy, not very sympathetic to them at all, even to the end, would waver here and there at different parts of the story, then something else would happen or a different part of the story would come out.  Is there really people out there like this?  It was a good, twisting story.  Well written, but twisted, strange..mean.
I remember reading East Of Eden by John Steinbeck.. long time ago... even I think I high school and talking to Mom about it and how evil the girl was in there and are there really people in the world like that??
How do people think this way to even write about this stuff.  Also read Sharp Objects by the same author and it was a bit more graphic and icky, weird people all.  sometimes did not know why I was still reading this stuff.... People can sure mess up their lives.
Take Care All

  2. It is amazing how some people's minds work. Not like mine that's for sure.

  3. I just finished it as well, based on someone else saying it was great. It left me feeling icky, didn't like the ambiguity of the ending at all. And I didn't quite get why I didn't like it until I read your post today. Funny how a book like this can suck you in and still leave a bad taste in your mouth. And yes, sad to say, there are people like that out there. Aren't we lucky that we don't know them?!
