Junipers!!

This is where she spends all her time, unless she is whining to be fed!!! Relaxed, feet up, rub my belly :)

Friday I went to an estate sale WAY out near Alfalfa, East of Bend.. despaired of ever finding it, but I did, why do people like living out like that, I don't get it, hardly any water, and just dry, dry, dry.. then there was not that much of interest... oh well, sometimes there is and sometimes not, BUT I found a pampered chef stone cookie sheet for only $5!!! Score, I was happy, only have one and that is a pain when making lots of cookies, like at Xmas and you can't keep two sheets going, just takes much longer to finish.,

Friday was a truly wonderful day, could see the mountains.  The one on the left is Mt Bachelor with Broken Top obscured by the clouds.. and those clouds were truly lovely, many different types.
Am sure they wished that weather had held, as Pole, Peddle, Paddle (which is a BIG sporting event in Bend) was the following day and it rained/poured all day, not the best weather, but at least it was not in the 90's and dry, that can have adverse effects on the racers too... A little rain, phew....

AND in the Alfalfa area there are many of these wonderful, twisted Juniper trees, with the moss on them.

Had to stop a couple of times and get out and walk out in the weeds and dust to try to get some pics...

This morning, Sunday, the good weather is back and the cold wind stopped for a bit.. I went for a good long walk, with myself.  No, did not take either dog.  Carl is not up to walking anywhere and Luci, thinks it is her walk and not mine and will not keep walking, but wants to stop and 'investigate' things and that leaves me pulling and tugging and telling her to WALK, go for WALK.. she does not get it.  It is just better if I go by myself, leave them to their naps and enjoy the outside time, alone, at my own pace. and I saw these wonderful wild Iris by the irrigation canal.  They almost look like watercolors, huh?

Take Care and God Bless

  2. Love your pics. We don't take the girls for our walks either for the same reason. And how they sniff the same spot for ten minutes is beyond me.
