Beach Time

YES!!!! finally got to go on our March Beach Trip!

Left the 24th and returned the 28th

Had rain somewhat on the way there and then for the following day, BUT then had wonderful weather.  Was able to walk on the beach as much as we wanted.  And there turned out to have some kids for Rylie to play with, which was a good thing.  they even had a campfire and s'mores!!!

Stayed at our 'normal' place in Twin Rocks.... small cabin.. it needs a bit of refurbishing i think, but it was ok, brought back lots of memories of staying there with Mom & Dad...

Went to the tillamook cheese factory, saw cheese being packaged, to the gift store and got ice cream!!! this picture was inside the elevator, cheese curds!! They are yummy, but not everyone likes them!! Went to Cape Meares, to beach, then to lighthouse and octopus tree, ALL places are a 'must see" on the trip and the 1st time Rylie got to see these places...

We drove to Astoria so they could climb to the top of the column, BUT it was closed due to Covid, so we had lunch up there, taking in the views of the bridge and mouth of the Columbia River.... Not the same, when you can't go into and climb up the column, but, maybe next time.. for sure!!!

So over the next few days will have more pictures of the beach on here...

There were LOTS of traffic and people everywhere you would go.  At Oswald West there was NO parking at all, have never, ever seen it that way, so very many people... I know there was nice Fall weather and people are not working due to Covid, so i guess, they must be traveling about and going to the beach.  Lots of out of state license plates too...

We pretty much stayed to ourselves... had a kitchen and fixed out own meals except for one, the last evening meal at Pirate Cove in Garibaldi, which was Really, Really good.....

Our beach at the motel was pretty unpopulated really, and the last day there was only one other couple staying in the motel (it is small, maybe 10 rooms at the most) so very intimate....

Our little cabin was the 2nd from the left, with the big window in front

view of rocks on 1st day when it was pouring...

We had a very good time, it was a good drive, company was wonderful.  It is so special to be able to spend famliy time..

Take Care All and God Bless
