We left for the beach on Thursday, picked up friend in McMinnville, then forged ahead over the Wilson River to Tillamook, then to Garabaldi.
We had a great time! at the beach, just walking and sitting on the jetty watching the fishermen. There were LOTS of people that showed up for the week-end, I tend to forget that, when I only go in the Spring or early Fall. At those times, there is always room for parking and no waiting for seating in restaurants :) The cheese factory parking lot was FULL. don't think I have ever seen it like that before, so we did not stop this trip, just way, way too crowded for any sort of enjoyment.
Saturday we drove down to Lincoln city with stops in pacific City and Neskowin to look at and admire the beach, Still LOTS of people, no parking.
Sunday we cleaned and left for the long drive back to Redmond... It went really well, no probs, but still, LOTS of people on the road heading back to the Valley after the week end. At least we were going in the opposite direction.
Patti only has tomorrow left, then she heads back to Iowa :( will miss having someone about to hang with, Today we 'did' Redmond. She is amazed at all of our antique stores. One of them has Fiesta ware that can be ordered and have many different designs of bowls, plates and what not. It is a really nice service they provide for people who are in to saving or getting these pieces. Went to the local bazaar that has crafters wares, which are many and varied.. tie dye t-shirts and sweatshirts too :0... yes some of us think this is an ok thing..... Then we took Brian for Chinese, never been to the Chinese Garden and was really pleasantly surprised, it was really GOOD (I had the Phoenix & the Dragon) and they have a nice atmosphere and really good, helpful service, so we had a nice evening out....
Came back and make chocolate zuchinni bread from zuchinni in my little garden, ooooo yummmm
Take Care all
