More of Same

Some of the beautiful flowers I got.
Not much going on. Well, not much for normal, but a lot for me, right now I guess.  I have actually gotten out of bed, gotten dressed and spent the last two days UP all day.  And survived!!  The lilacs are almost done blooming and I never got a pic this year. I have watered plants outside and pulled some weeds, that makes me feel better.  Am trying to eat.  Have lost 15# and no one is happy with me.  It is a mind thing.  Am a little scared to eat... and pay attention to every gurgle.. geez.  things just do not seem normal, but maybe this is the new normal and things are still settling into where they should be and what they should be doing.  Doc says, it takes time.  No lifting for 6 weeks... how does that work?  Luci needs up on the bed like 10 times a day. And her incessant crying is killing my last nerve! Have not even been reading, just feel to scattered for it.. Weird, that had better come back --fast!!  Only take one pain pill at night about 10p so I can get and stay to sleep.  Really have no unmanageable pain, which is a good thing.  Am cooking and keeping the kitchen clean, which I feel is within my capabilities.. haha
So, things go on, they change, get better, move on. ( but not really anything blog worthy, so may be absent until things really smooth out and return to normal and I actually DO something)

Take Care and God Bless All

  1. Well, you really are doing some things: weeding, watering, cleaning the kitchen and trying to get back to normal! Progress.

  2. Recovery is not fun. You need to get Luci some steps or a ramp. We have steps for our girls so they don't drive us crazy. She knows you don't feel good but she doesn't understand what she should do to help you. Take care of yourself.

  3. Take is slow but do try to start to eat light things but get some food going. Hope you start to feel better with each new day.

  5. I think this is great progress. What a difference from your last post! It sounds like you are slowly getting back to normal and that's a good thing. I like Sandie's suggestion that you put something next to the bed for Luci to step up on . Maybe something you can leave there all the time so you won't ever have to worry about her wanting up on the bed. But especially for now. Keep on healing - you're getting there! :)

  6. How well we know how health problems can change things. I am glad you posted to let us know how you are. The flowers are beautiful and I'm sure give your spirits a lift. Hope things continue to get better as you just do whatever you feel you can and nothing more.

  7. I found your blog from another link. I'm actually going to be "up your way" this summer volunteering for the month of July at Tumalo State Park in Bend. I hope you continue to recover and feel like your old self soon!
