Drove to the Salton Sea today, way south in the southeastern corner of Calif, almost to Mexico! My sister-in-law Rita's mother lives near there. We had a good visit, i took pics, we had lunch, she showed me around her park, they certainly do alot there!! Have all kinds of activities and services, someone even comes twice a week with fruit and vegetables to sell!!! It was a long way around the lake and Luci got tired.
Met up with the border patrol again, they just wave me thru. But it seems a weird thing to have to go thru. They had 4 cars pulled over and were going thru them, even had dogs there, sniffing around
On the way back i drove on Dillon Rd from Indio rather than get on the freeway, it is a scenic route and was rather fun!!! It had all kinds of dips in the road, sort of like a roller coaster. I bet if u go fast enough, a person could get airborne!!!

ReplyDeleteBy the way, I agree with your comment on Judy's blog about Les Schwab. I wish they would open up some stores in California and the southwest. We were surprised to find one last spring in Ogden, Utah and were we ever happy to see them right when we needed a new tire!
Glad you enjoyed your trip to the Salton Sea. Dillon Rd. is a bit of a roller-coaster ride and a fun one to drive.
