Day 4 at the beach was cold and rainy, SO we went to the Tillamook Cheese Factory. No trip to this area is complete without the requisite trip to the Cheese Factory and some ICE CREAM!!! So after sitting and watching the wave action and RAIN we went there.
This has been here as long as i remember and when we lived here i remember field trips to the Factory where we got to go right out onto the floor and see the milk in vats and everything, it was quite the fun time!!!
This time i had ONLY one scoop of marionberry pie on a waffle cone, could only eat HALF of that and had to throw the rest away, sacrilege!!! but i did feel ok about it :)
They also now have a quilt trail starting from Latimer Textile with quilt blocks on the barns and businesses around the area, but we did not follow it and Judy at 'Travels With Emma' did such a good job on that topic yesterday in Tennesse that mine would not even compare!!!
Take care all
Thank you for mentioning the Tillamook Quilt Trail. That's something I would like to see next time we are in that area.
ReplyDeleteSo glad you were able to throw out the ice cream without feeling too guilty. That's really hard to learn but necessary. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteYummmmmm ice cream! But better to throw out than to eat too much. It just melts into nothing anyway so it's not as if you are creating "trash". :-)
ReplyDeleteLove all things Tillamook!!! Best cheese and ice cream ever. Glad you enjoyed yourself.
