When we lived in the Phoenix area last century, our neighborhood Walgreen's was THE place to shop for liquor! Years earlier, when we had moved into Butte, Montana, the ONLY place to buy hard liquor or wine was the musty, dirty, run-down state liquor store, with gawdawfully high prices. Grocery stores now have pharmacies, drugstores sell groceries, Walmart sells anything and everything, and we all shop at Costco for office supplies and tires.
I certainly don't think of Walgreens when I think beer. I don't drink beer so don't think of it but still - Walgreens with the best prices????
ReplyDeleteThey just started selling beer and wine in Indiana. Seems strange.
