Went to Crater Lake with my friend Tanya today. Perfect day! Cooler up there tho. It is the FIRST time i have been all the way around. We usually go too early in the spring and the road is not open all the way around. Do you know they average 43 feet of snow a year!!! Wow, i knew they got alot and it stays a long time, but did not know it was that much. ALOT!!! It was windy too!
It was a beautiful drive/day.............
These pictures are not retouched, the water is THAT blue!!!
Take Care All.....
Great pictures of the scenery and of your two smiling faces. So glad you got to go. That is a LOT of snow they get.
ReplyDeleteI love Crater Lake and visited for the first time in 2009. Yes, there was still snow there in late July! That blue color of the lake is something to see--your picture captured it well.
ReplyDeleteGreat capture of the lake Loree. Yes, it really is that blues. One of the prettiest lakes I have ever seen. So glad you got to go.
ReplyDeleteWow, so beautiful, such a pretty blue color. Lucky you to take this day trip.
ReplyDeleteWow! It has been years since we have seen Crater Lake. Yes, we know that water is the deep blue you show. Now you have reminded us of another place we have to revisit once we get back on the road. How will we ever do it all?
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place. That is a lot of snow, I thought the snow we got in the finger Lakes f New York was a lot:)
ReplyDeleteI just love that whole Park. Your pictures are excellent.
ReplyDeleteOk, Ms Loree, you are now officially right in my back yard! well, almost anyway. Nice to see photos of Crater Lake. We haven't managed the hour long drive up there this summer. Isn't that just the way it goes? Ha!
ReplyDeleteGreat pix Loree! And what a wonderful day! Let's plan our next adventure soon!
