Just finished American Dirt!!! Oh. My. Gosh!!! Great, great book! So sad and horrid tho, shocking things right and left. It is fiction, but appears well researched. If even SOME of it is true..... we are so spoiled and unaware of the 'other' world out there....

Also have a little rant... am no longer buying things off of Facebook. don't know why i did to begin with.. naive i guess... ( and some things look so good, something i would like?) really makes me angry to go thru it all, put in your debit and THEN find out that all of these chinese characters come up.... ordered a chess memory game, and it finally came a couple days ago, BUT i ordered it the 1st part of December!!!! and just don't feel right to be getting things directly from China. i mean LOTS of our 'stuff' is made there, but just don't like it.. also there was a charge, nominal, but still.. for international banking, which you are not told about before you put in the card. there as nothing that said it was from there or that it would take forever... was sure would never get what was ordered... AND i have a blouse i ordered and it is not coming, has been every bit as long. wonder if it is from there too?
This happened two different times, some barbie clothes i ordered, for heavens sake, a number of years ago, and some kids bracelets... i am done....
But read the book!!!!

So nice to find your blog, and thanks for the comment on my post. If you just broke your hip two months ago it sounds like you're doing very well indeed. Read a few back posts on your blog to find out. We've also had our challenges with doctors and homecare, but at this point I can focus on what's good about still being alive!
