Today we went for a ride on the Channel Cat, on the Mississippi, from East Davenport to Moline, Bettendorf and then back to East Davenport..
tried to find beer glasses from some different Bars as that is what Brian collects. And you know it is really hard to find Bars that have their logo/name on their glasses, some have some great names, like Boozies, no glasses, bartender said they had ordered some and had when they 1st opened, but they all got stolen.. and Grumpy's, no glasses, but did opt for a t-shirt, how can you not? And also got one glass at Front Street.. but got tired of going into bars.. :)
Here we are getting ready to go, already seated
she did not want to sit by us... later she moved over next to Patti
I-74, new bridge, brand new, just opened this Spring
Old 74 bridge they are tearing down..
Tug boats
Fireweed
This guy was moving gravel to a place along the Moline side of the river, crossed from one side to the other right in front of us
Just some sights along the trip It was a nice day to be out there, not too windy and cooler but not so cold you needed even a jacket
Later we went to see E.T. at the BIG I-Max.. Asked Rylie b4 had she seen it and no she had not, so thought it a good thing for her to see, then as we were sitting in there waiting for the show to start she says, 'Oh is this the one with the boy finding the alien'? So yes, she had seen it and was not too very interested in it again... so, that was a flop... and $40 down the drain... ah well, not all days are bright and shiney
Take Care All and God Bless
