Sisters!!!
Got a quick visit Friday... took scraps for chickens and got eggs.. also wanted to get out of the house and go for a little drive. Sade and i like walking around the parks we have. lots of times there are paved paths around them even!
They had a huge sleep over party for rylie's birthday which was the 30th but baby born 29th put a hold on that. they rented an airbnb, with 6 bedrooms and a hot tub and there were 14 girls... guess everyone was worn out the next day,,
look at the hair on the baby, gettin longer every day!! Dad has black hair. she has reddish eyebrows tho so think it is going to be a dark red maybe??? she slept the whole time
Rylie even transferred her into the swing thing in good fashion and did not even wake her up. she is a good sleeper and noise doesn't seem to bother her.. .
Got all the yard work done and yard debris taken to the free dump for yard debris weekend.. Pick up even started up! We have been having a bit of moisture so not needed to water too much. Got limbs cut back on lilac bush and dead limbs from Hawthorne tree.. so things are looking pretty good at this point.. Have gotten my "affairs" in order,, will and what not, so that is a good thing and a relief i have to say. I did go to a lawyer, to just make sure. all of this "do it yourself" stuff is concerning to me. but the will done on the computer was good, signed not by relatives and notarized ... have everything written down in a book, steps to take, who to notify.. cremation paid for, soooo i should not be a burden when i am no longer here.. Except for ALL my 'things' that i like having about me, pictures, stamping things, tons of books... clothes/shoes... dog... all that should keep someone busy for awhile figuring out what to do with, and i do sort out now and then and pick up something and think why do i have that, then it goes to garbage or goodwill.. but i want to be with my things, makes me happy... and i do recycle books to other people and neighborhood little libraries, i no longer feel that i need to keep EVERY book i read..
finished another afghan, brian wanted one that looked like the one on the back of the couch in Rosanne, or Big Bang Theory or one of those shows like that, so this is it, your classic black granny square with jewel tones and my own take on a border. it is quite large and took it seems like forever.. but all done, 54 squares in all, 9 X 6, now, will give it to him for birthday in June....
Made this last nite, Googled: ravioli, asparagus, tomato, basil.. has garlic sauteed first... and they only had mushroom ravioli, and recipe called for cheese, but it was really good and not saucy at all and i like the asparagus sauteed like that.. was fresher tasting and did not get too soft as it sometimes gets when boiled... don't know why in my whole life had never done that? just the way we always cooked it, i guess.. But Brian said to keep that recipe, and that is a good recommend from him.. and will surely tell you if is is not a keeper...
The mountains Friday... Take Care All and God Bless
