bad mummy

Well.. a word of warning

But then maybe this only happens to me... but i want to remember this for future reference.. Sade got into the garage, the door does not always close all the way.  Brian has a "office" out there, and he sits out there most all the time.. doing whatever.. so there is a little garbage can with his "butts"  and he no longer smokes.. but has a joint here and there.. it is legal now... still.. whatever... Yes, Sade ate a left over doobie.. and boy was she stoned!! was all woobly and just stood and stared. would not eat or drink, would not pee, so took her to the vet.. i mean really, i googled it and she had all the symptoms, but they can also have seizures, go into a coma, die!!!! Robin caught her right away and it did not seem she had alot of time out there and only got into a little bit, but there was evidence of her rooting around.  (there were also nicotine things in there) The vet said her symptoms  were for the MJ and not nicotine, as her heart rate was low , as was her temp. so they injected saline under her skin  on her back (she did NOT like that) to dissipate things and it seemed to work. they could not make her throw-up due to the lethargy, and gave her something for nausea.   i sat with her like this for hours... all she wanted was to be held and about 10:30p (5 hrs layer) she perked up, drank water, had a big pee and was perky, ready for bed... so grateful this is all that happened.  nothing more serious

Brian went right out and emptied the garbage and will no longer be depositing whatever that is in the garage, and will put it up on the cupbrds or something so she can't accidently get into anything.. she already knows not to go into his bedroom and the door is closed most all of the time.  told him, i thought he was at least half responsible !!! Vet emergencies are expensive, even tho it was still during office hours. they immediately took her in , there was no sitting about waiting for them.  i was not at home when this happened, It is so scary,  u  can't be there all the time, in every instance, but we all have to be responsible. But all is well and over and today she is herself and happy dog. an happy mum..

Take care and God Bless
