Happy

 Here is my New Years Eve Eve picture.. I had some pink glitter to make the pink champagne sparkle...I did not even stay up until midnight.  Sade took exception to all the booming and fireworks going off (not too much) but kept her from going outside.. she held it all   night and let me even sleep in! Don't know why this year she felt the need to protect, but there it is.

Have put all of Xmas away, except for outside lights.  Been cleaning the garage.  You know, you  don't know what you have when stuff is spread all over the place, here and there, turns out i have 4 containers FULL of VHS tapes and dvd's..  have a small box that i am keeping . Like the Borne Trilogy and Clint Eastwood movies.. Play Misty For Me.. that movie has stayed with me all these years.  Don't know why. It was the times, maybe.  Also have a Doris Day collection, and just a few others that mean alot to me.  But i sent SO much money on them. I still have VHS player, suppose i should get rid of that,.. the ones i kept were dvd... also Some Came Running and World of Suzie Wong, i always wanted to get them transfered to the dvd.. maybe some day.  Have whole tub full of embroidered pillowcases, my grandmother made,, i am going to make a quilt out of them, anyway that is the plan.  Found 2 baby blankets of brians, he said i could give them to the new baby.  so i have washed and mended them as needed.  took a bunch of stuff to goodwill and the dump!!!

What to do with the VHS tapes??? i did ask goodwill and they said they took them.   so there is that..   

I got cards from two people that i did not get cards from last year and feared them passed on, so glad they sent cards!!! They are still with us.

 

This was taken a couple days b4 xmas... but you an see the new snow and down into the foothills... they have had much more snow up there.  I have to drive about a mile West to get these pictures.  there is a little cul de sac, tht is not developed facing West and i go up there to get enough height to get over the top of the houses...

 and driving a couple feet and facing North i get Mt Jefferson... but not centered due to houses.  There are also the power lines going thru this property.. so no one will build on this right of way, i assume.

Have been watching West Wing on Netflix,       amazing that there are the same issues today as they were grappling with back then.. in season 4 and back then there wee like 22 episodes per season and there are 7 seasons, so i still have a way to go... Got the 3rd book in the Rebecca Yarros series, Onyx Storm. and am reading that....  i have things to do here, don't need to leave the house for much,,   my grooming needs, food and med appts here and there and that certainly does not take up all of my time, so i should be getting much more done than i do!!!!  It seems everytime i go out, i spend money!!! So trying to stay in and work on things here to keep busy and productive.. And need to save money to have the car worked on, it almost has 200,000 miles on it (2006) and there are maintenance things that need done, which ends up being rather costly... Also want to get a good detail of the outside, to make it shine....
