 She's  doing really well on her little balance bike.  Se certainly has a mind of her own!!! Will not eat for me.. or else i just fixed stuff she does not like.. Just messes with it all or throws it on the floor.  Then i have to get down there and clean the floor!!!  She took a 3 hour nap!!! So  it is not along time that we interact with each other.. But long enough....

It rained in Prineville, but not Redmond... This morning there was snow on the mtns!!!So exciting... now if it would just keep up and get some pack up  there... It is cool here tho, had to turn on the heat....  Took me a day to get the furnace started!!! The wall thingy/thermostat needed batteries an apparently  mine were all dead, or at least the ones that i tried to use, got some new ones and it started right up.. Doesn't do much good to get all of those batteries at Costco is you can't use them before they go dead...  It was so hot last week an this week 51!!

Fixed my pumpkin harvest bread for the 1st time this year...   love it.. has pecans and oats in it, so kind of crunchy.. But so Fall...

Sade is on the couch right now, sulking, cuz the computer is on my lap.  And Thursday i play cards all afternoon after a full day gone on Wednesday babysitting.. It is hard on her. I don't take her with me as i need to spend my time watching/playing with Novah and can't be trying to watch Sade too

At cards we play Hand and Foot , or 5 crowns? and a word game that involves cards too, or dominoes.  It is fun and get to socialize and talk with adults..

Been working in the yard and have only a couple of places that i  need to cut back the dead stuff that is starting to die out.  My yard did not do very good this year.. not putting in many new things, did not do a garden at all.  The sunflowers were puny... that happens when they are now in the full sun, no shade at all and i don't water them.  And i am glad i got most of it done, because, it seems that it has gotten colder, sooner and would not have gone outside in the cold. I am getting to be such  wuss..

Had a 2 hour pedicure last week and it was wonderful, my legs and feet felt so pampered, smooth and relaxed, lots of soaking, scrub, massage.. Have been soaking my feet at home too, as the heels get so calloused and ucky in the Summer.  It is one of the better things i do for myself, you should try it!!  She does facials also, and may try that next!! Have gone to hard gel for my nails and only have to have them done once a month now,  it cost more, but only once a month  instead of twice a month or every 3 weeks, so am saving about $20 a month...

Still working on tht darn t-shirt quilt, taking me forever, but the machine quilting is hard! Shoving  queen size quilt into the sewing machine space then having to pull and push it to get to the seams you want to do, is a workout in itself! Just hoping in the end it turns out well. Many mistakes made on it, but doubt anyone that does not sew will see that,  certainly not the way i do, but then it is hard to find the mistakes to see where i could have done something better.  Had to get more fabric for the binding, because of course i ran out. AND saw some other things that i got for pillowcases..  (for xmas!!!) I want to do more sewing for xmas this year, little bags, pot holders, grocery bags.. everyone needs things like tht...

Well, that is about it... just life, not much exciting or even new.  Except Novah does new things all the time in her 1st year.. things change so much, you don't remember tht as the time passes, those lovely days of watching them grow..

It's already Sept 3rd!!! The downward move into the BER  months... 

 

a month

 Here is my little precious..

She got stung by a wasp.... will put a photo below.. Looked it up on Google and she did not have any of the horrible symptoms.. Face just all swollen.  I put ice packs on it and she seemed to feel better after she got used to me trying to press it on her, was a struggle at 1st.. the next day it was almost all gone.  BUT she has not gone to that side of the yard any more... wonder how long she will remember it? It is the side of the yard by the neighbors with two dogs and she was always over there barking and trying to sniff thru the fence at them ... has not been doing that at all.  

Her yearly check up went well. Needs to loose a # and watch her intake. She does get lots of snacks from the 3 of us.. She really took exception to the shots. Would not take any of the vets treats..fooey on you!!!

Her nails are a tad long cuz her groomer is having some surgery and is out for a month!!! Had the vet do them while we were there..

  I can see where a bee bite can be dangerous as her neck really got swollen too, suppose it if did too much could cut off airway, but she had no probs there.  Poor little thing

Geez, don't look at my face!!! should have edited that out! 

Have gone to a couple of painting classes, lots of doc appt,seems like they all come due, or blood draws x-rays,, what not, some days it seems to go on and on

We have lots of fires.. and subsequently smoke has been awful... keep the house closed and AC and filter seems to keep it at bay here in the house.  Almost got to 100 today!!!

Brian and Robin at the beach this week.. did not even ask me to go... oh, well, think they need time alone. I know i certainly did!!! and let me tell you, it has been really nice. simple meals, no worrying if i should fix something for them or not, usually NOT!!! can have the TV up as high as i want.. Its the little things.

 

 Got a new, fancy refrigerator... have wanted one forever.  Have been making ice with a little portable thing. This has water out  of  the door, filtered no less. and cubes in the freezer part. (which i have really gotte used to, water out of the tap now tastes like chlorine) Had to take some time looking about to find one that fit in the space we have, less then 70" high, which most of them are. and not sticking out too far, this one is just about the same measurements as the old white one, with freezer in the top, like most all i have ever only had.. BUT Lowe's had one and the delivery guys were very nice and accommodating, helping this little old lady hook up the water line and getting the old one out to the garage (the niece wants the old one for their garage for a beverage frig.) It is just so very nice and i really feel privileged . Find myself going in there just to open the doors and look around, if anything new showed up!!! Hahahahaha  Got a little 8 cu ft freezer too for the garage and that is nice. am going to try to get 1/4 a beef for in there.. now i have room.  We always gt that when i was growing up, but Uncle had a cattle ranch, so it was easy

Other than these things, just the same.. trying to keep lawn and flowers growing.. Dog fed..  oh.... twice now i have 'forgotten' to put water in the dish for Sade.  When i become aware i am so sorry, SUCH a BAD mom... she starts licking the water  in the bathtub and on the pavement from the watering outside.  Luci would stand there and start barking!!! Sade is so laid back and much less demanding.. HAVE got to keep up on that.. I got her a recycling water can thing, and only need to get water in there once a week and it seems, it goes over at times... and apparently longer than a week and now i am checking, looking down there every day!!!  It is under a table so i could find an outlet for the plug in, so not out in plain view...

Bad MOM......

It has been a month since the last entry.. Maybe that's all i have in me now days...

cleaning-sorting

 Spent the week end at niece's in Prineville, house-sitting.  One large dog and 8 chickens. very quiet there. Something is getting into their eggs! They did have a skunk! but it was dispatched of. There were no eggs for a whole day and day b4 only 2. So they are going to have to do something... there was just the shell, with yolk eaten of one of the.  Never heard any squawking, dogs were not alerted.. so what could it be? Other than that all went well.  Had a couple of people over for a dinner on Sunday.  They all live in Prineville and thought it a good time to host them, had not seen them in awhile. and never got any pictures!! we had a great time eating and talking tho!!

 AND i have finally accomplished something. I got rid of ALL my old stamping equipment that i no longer use.  Most of it had been sitting in the garage since we moved here 15 years ago, WOW that is a long time.  I found a place in Bend that does arts and crafts, and has summer camp for kids, rents out equipment, has classes... It was a LOT of stuff, i told her that, then when i show up she is over whelmed.. well, i sent pictures.  There was also another container and some bags full of stuff....  lots of DSP paper.  When i think of all the money i spent on those things. BUT reading things on FB about down sizing.  you just have to admit that things were a mistake and move on... I did/do feel bad, but they were donated to some one who really appreciated it and will use them, so that is a good thing.  and i can forge ahead with the paltry things i have left... hahahaha still have SO many.  but i did even get rid of two bags of the current Stampin Up  sets..  A cuddlebug die/emboss machine, Zutter, that binds things, a paper cutter, could go on and on... it was obscene the number of things i had, that went unused.. So now they are in a better place... And i think i am going to buy them a set of the acrylic blocks that they an use those stamps with.  Most of them were the old wooden backed ones.  The way things are done changes, newer better machines and stamping procedure. and a  persons tastes and skill level changes.. and equipment along the way... Like to think i am a better crafter then i was at 1st, who knows?

I felt relieved of those things, had been wanting to do that for some time. But do not know the ins and outs of E-Bay and did not want people coming to the house.. and a yard sale is a night mare to me, and then again people are coming to the house. Don't know why that is a bad thing, but i am more private than that i guess, not that out going to having to interact with all those people. My space is my space and don't want people seeing 'my things'   And doing all of that took me at the very least a whole week of making constant decisions,  It is a hard thing!!!!! Just sayin'

Visit

 Go to go visit yesterday! Had to learn to do the chickens as house sitting this weekend. and watering the multitude of flowers and veggies.  THAT should take all day!! She is quite "the little thing"  very independent and high frustration level when things don't quite go her way. and EVERYTHING goes in the mouth. have to watch her constantly.  Don't remember that with Brian. Weird the things you forget.

We are having some great weather!

WELL... went thru ALL my stamping things and the car was loaded up.. Had to wait for them as they had an art class they were having about 20 kids and one of the assistants called in sick... Had my book, i was fine . They appeared thrilled with the donation...

 

She was going to get those chickens, fortunately she gave up and there was no way for her to get in..

catch up

 Cant believe it has been so long since i blogged...It seems like i don't DO anything.. the days meld one to another.. Yet things happen..  I am watching Novah on Wednesdays so her mom can work a housekeeping job. There are doctors appts.. That quilt i started in January is STILL sitting there,  undone..  on my set up in the garage.  at least now it is warm enough to be out there!.. so i should really get to it!

 Rylie graduated from middle school, starts High School next year.  She looked really pretty in her new dress. Quite festive.  It was kind of a weird ceremony, i felt. No music. they all just sort of sauntered in.  Had an opening speech by principal. awarding of different local awards. some closing comments, Go forward and do good.  and that was about it . Went back to their house and had tacos... about 20 friends and family.. lots of little kiddos, they are all in their productive years, hahaha..

She turned 14 on the 30th April

Novah turned ONE on April 29th She is an independent little thing and gets really mad when things do not go her way . Noticed her getting upset when she couldnt work one of her toys. That apple one where u put the different shapes back into the apple.. she figured out how to get them out, pry the little door, but has not figured out the shapes yet and how they go back in... just have to move them around to match...

 

My peonies did well this year and the deer were not around to eat the buds!!  Had 5 really big blooms.  Have a spot in  my beds where nothing will grow, have tried two different bushes and don't know how many flowers and eventually they all die.  Added some new soil and fertilizer and some NEW plants and will see how they do. Never know..    

 Sadie just as sweet as ever.  she is really the best dog. and loves me!!! Took her to Lowes today, put a towel in the cart basket and she just sat there, nice as  could be. No barking or trying to jump  out. And she is just standing there so nice when i take her to get her nails done..go twice a month!! (which is quite a change from when we started, what a nightmare) they grow SO fast.  she has only gone to the same lady and has gotten used to her and  TJ is really good with her. So kind and gentle. She has a mobile grooming van and is at a local pet store the 2nd friday of the month, then the last monday. an if i miss just all her and can go by her house to get it done. so it is really convenient.  she has really  gotten much better on her barking and when i tell her not to, she usually stops. an think she knows if she goes out there and barks, she will not get a treat when coming back in. BUT there is so much out there to take exception  to!! And she is quiet in the mornings and lets me sleep. Brian and Robin are getting up and getting ready for work at different times and not a peep out her .. but normally by 9 she is ready to pee!!!

People always ask me how many books do i read.. last year read 41 and so far this year, 26 . and i think that is pitifully few.  there are SO many books.  and i only  give up  on about 3-4.. usually i am pretty good about how i pick out what i want to read, or have been lucky. i  have always felt there is  a reason this was published, some one must have liked it, right? but have learned i am not obligated to red something and don't want to waste time on something i am not interested in.. I always carry my book with me. Never know when u are stuck waiting, doc appts, car work, waiting for people to show when u are meeting someone.. never know..  Well that is about it.. nothing exciting, no travels, no visitors.

Got yardwork pretty much under control, just up keep, Brian Mows.. And the weather is FINALLY warming up.. wonder how long it will be before i am complaining of the heat.

 Little Novah will be a year old the 29th. She is walking like crazy. and has a will of her own... am watching her on Wednesdays and it is all i can do,  let me tell you.  Can barely pick her up! and she has learned to hang on for dear life.  We are a pair...     almost over the binky.. i just don't remember Brian challenging on every little thing.  But that was long ago, who  knows? Maybe i am more of a softie than way back then!!!she just definately wants what she wants.. and does not sit still very often. Loves getting into the tupperware cupboard.  I just let her string them out all over the house, just pick them up when she goes down for a nap.  and she is not napping near as long as she used to. She is a sturdy little thing.. Loves her family.

That feeding tho, and the mess! and shaking her head back n forth when she does not want something, or sticking her hand out, right in your way, U surely know that, NO, she is NOT going to eat something, does not like veggies, loves fruit..

Today i turned 79.. As a friend made me aware of the last year of my 70's.. Wasn't that kind of her?  I went to Church this morning, decided i wanted to start off the year right. Went to the Church of the Transfiguration in Sisters (Episcopal) I was very nice.. They were quite welcoming and i did not feel out of place... I can't believe i am almost 80.... that is such a big number and i don't feel big at all. some days i certainly feel  it....

And then my Senior moment.. fixed a noodle something with a red sauce and poured the sauce into the noodles as the bowl was bigger, supposedly!!! EXCEPT the noodles were still in the strainer and the sauce that was not thick yet, of course went out all over the stove and floor.  That was a 1st and hope it does not happen again.....

update

 I have been babysitting on Wednesdays.. this is my 2nd week and we are still trying to find   our way of doing things.  The 1st day was good, but the next week, today, was not so fun.  she would not take her bottle ( i discovered later in the day that i had forgotten the insert thingy.. they have so many  NEW things now days,  not like 55 years ago!!! HAHA) so later in the day the bottle time went better and she drank it all.  She got tired about 2p so time for a nap, and she would not go to sleep.  i sat in the room with her, she kept opening her eyes and look for me and if i wasn't there she would start crying again... finally, she eventually passed out and stopped crying, geez... AND i got thru a poopy diaper without barfing... HA!!!!

Other than that,   i had been sick with i suppose, the flu, altho i did have a flu shot, probably the wrong flu, who knows. but i was sick for about two weeks, then got another UTI.. have been having a number of DOC appts to figure that out we have had not a it of snow all Winter, here in Redmond., and hopefully they can hit on the right thing so i stop having those... but the flu,,  geez, went on forever... i had full flannel pj's on, a sweater, on a heating pad, with an electric blanket and had the chills so bad.. only at night it seemed.. everything hurt and ached and then was not moving about, so my hip acted up.. then i even got a canker sore on my bottom lip.  i was a mess.... never did go to the doctor. felt too ill to drive in there..

Dear Sade has taken to pooping in the bathroom and i have been trying to be overly diligent to curb this behavior, but it is distressing to say the least.

I had started a quilt, got everything set up in the garage b4 flu hit and it is still all out there.  It is still cold here and it is old out there!!! But we have really had good weather over all, some really Spring like days.. tiny bit of rain here and there, but don't even think it was measurable.  Mt B only has a 42 inch base....  bad, bad, BAD.. can't even begin to think what this summer will be like. it is so very dry out there.. we have had not a bit of snow here in Redmond

Have been very sad at the state of the world and things WE are doing to make things so very much worse..  BUT  it is 6p and still daylight out there.

AND on top of everything my VISA was compromised...  entirely my fault.  and did not have a card for a month!!! the bank   card printer was down!!! and in that month had to transfer all of my  auto pays to my debit... and realized how much was paying out,    if is is auto,   it just gets paid and i guess did not realize... well, my VISA is well  on the way to getting paid off!!! When you make payments, but don't order/charge anything to it, the balance goes down,  DUH!!!! am slowly (hate change) getting used to having it all come out in "real time" and keeping track of it all.  one would think   that is a no brainer.... some of us it takes longer than others to figure things out... don't over think a thing, just  do it....

Boy, have i been sick....  fever, chills, achy all over, sleep all the time... then the hip acted up cuz all i was doing was laying about and not moving at ALL.Today got up at 5:30A  yes indeedy... to go to the senior center to sign up for  a time to get taxes done.  got there before 7, opened at 8 and i was 37th in line!!!! better than 80 something like last year.. then had an appt to get brakes and rotors done, and one of the studs sheared off last time i went for an oil change and they rotated tires, so that was fixed.  then to Olive Garden with friend or soup...

Had gone to credit union before as  having VISA issues,,  their card printer is down in all their offices, since the beginning of the month!!! so now have to do the onerous chore of moving all of my auto pays to my debit card!!!  such fun, i am NOT remembering everything.. some are just yearly,, i guess when they cant get paid they will get in touch with me...

It has been really biter cold here, had freezing frost, always love to walk and take picture, but this year was sick, so missed out. vaguely saw from my  sleepy, bleary eyes (feel sorry or me yet? haha)

  She would spend the whole day like this if i let her.. So cozy..

I have had a day.. We did get in a walk.  It is 60 degrees out there!! Can hardly believe it. My phone photo memories shows we had snow on this day the last two years!! We have had NO snow at all this Winter.. Going to be a long dry summer... hope its not smokey too! 

My VISA was compromised, so cancelled it 1-5, then today i get a charge on it!! was pissed... the bank is putting in a dispute.. I was going to sign up for Guardio to protect all the calls i get, and to show if a cite i go onto is fake or not,, they show you so many things tht could o wrong, you start believing it all.. but decided to NOT do it and never finalized the sign up and anyway had cancelled the card,, then it show two weeks later! well got that fixed

then there is the TV which i feel i am paying too much for in any case . guess tht is neither here nor there, as have been in a couple times, to try to get it less and there is no way and enjoy all my watching choices,.. but wanted to pay the bill, and of course would not accept my pass word, so tried to call to get it re set and you would think  it would be easy, NO... and talked to 4 different people on different phone #'s and i just can't understand them...  hung up... then tried the phone bill i got and that let me sign in.. but will just have to pay  it that way i guess, as can not seem to get it to come out direct from my acct#  AND have to go thru all of this because they changed their system.. was going along all ok, till then.. so here i am... doing less than i wanted to. and just guess tht is the way it is.. and doing it on the phone thru gmail  is not so very onerous.

I guess this is a rant... i do like the convenience  of online things, but not the hassle of getting there . I just do not want to change... I've always been that way, if something is working, and has been for awhile, why change/  can't see to the future and that eventually that will wok too.. maybe even better..

 Here is my New Years Eve Eve picture.. I had some pink glitter to make the pink champagne sparkle...I did not even stay up until midnight.  Sade took exception to all the booming and fireworks going off (not too much) but kept her from going outside.. she held it all   night and let me even sleep in! Don't know why this year she felt the need to protect, but there it is.

Have put all of Xmas away, except for outside lights.  Been cleaning the garage.  You know, you  don't know what you have when stuff is spread all over the place, here and there, turns out i have 4 containers FULL of VHS tapes and dvd's..  have a small box that i am keeping . Like the Borne Trilogy and Clint Eastwood movies.. Play Misty For Me.. that movie has stayed with me all these years.  Don't know why. It was the times, maybe.  Also have a Doris Day collection, and just a few others that mean alot to me.  But i sent SO much money on them. I still have VHS player, suppose i should get rid of that,.. the ones i kept were dvd... also Some Came Running and World of Suzie Wong, i always wanted to get them transfered to the dvd.. maybe some day.  Have whole tub full of embroidered pillowcases, my grandmother made,, i am going to make a quilt out of them, anyway that is the plan.  Found 2 baby blankets of brians, he said i could give them to the new baby.  so i have washed and mended them as needed.  took a bunch of stuff to goodwill and the dump!!!

What to do with the VHS tapes??? i did ask goodwill and they said they took them.   so there is that..   

I got cards from two people that i did not get cards from last year and feared them passed on, so glad they sent cards!!! They are still with us.

 

This was taken a couple days b4 xmas... but you an see the new snow and down into the foothills... they have had much more snow up there.  I have to drive about a mile West to get these pictures.  there is a little cul de sac, tht is not developed facing West and i go up there to get enough height to get over the top of the houses...

 and driving a couple feet and facing North i get Mt Jefferson... but not centered due to houses.  There are also the power lines going thru this property.. so no one will build on this right of way, i assume.

Have been watching West Wing on Netflix,       amazing that there are the same issues today as they were grappling with back then.. in season 4 and back then there wee like 22 episodes per season and there are 7 seasons, so i still have a way to go... Got the 3rd book in the Rebecca Yarros series, Onyx Storm. and am reading that....  i have things to do here, don't need to leave the house for much,,   my grooming needs, food and med appts here and there and that certainly does not take up all of my time, so i should be getting much more done than i do!!!!  It seems everytime i go out, i spend money!!! So trying to stay in and work on things here to keep busy and productive.. And need to save money to have the car worked on, it almost has 200,000 miles on it (2006) and there are maintenance things that need done, which ends up being rather costly... Also want to get a good detail of the outside, to make it shine....

Dec Happenings

 Who on earth can resist this face?

She is crawling!!!   And yells when she wants picked up. And is eating soft food. But was given a chicken leg to gnaw on and was that ever funny, she would not let go of it, even sort of cradled it in her little arms. and YELLED when it was time to clean up. she was not eating it more, just wanting to sort of suck on it..  She definitely lets you know her wants.. Sleeps really good and has her schedule...

She was sort of overwhelmed by all the action going on and people in and out.

 

 

 This is my 'official' xmas picture.  I went to my niece's in Prineville and spent 2 nights there.  the 1st night is always horrible as Sade will not settle down in the little twin bed and takes exception to all the bumps and movements of others throughout the night.  But we survive... Kevin did a brisket and it was enormous and very good and we all ate almost ALL  of it!!!  He was cooking it since 2am, up every hour to baste,,, like I said,   SO GOOD.

Everything was very nice,  Kevin daughter, Ava was there and my brother and his wife were also for Christmas night dinner.  The girls spent alot of their time in the bedroom.. such is teenagers now days, came out to greet people and eat, is about all you get.

 Weather even co-operated and was decent.. could have been warmer, but was nice and there was even a great sunset on Christmas Eve

Had a painting class on the 16th and i was happy with how it turned out.. Maybe i am learning something..

 

Celebrated my brothers 70th birthday on the 11th.  A really GOOD Mexican restaurant in Terrebonne of all places.. just a dinky little place north of Redmond. (the town not the restaurant)

 She is always so very alert to everything going on round her.. and all of the noise and color was a bit overwhelming i think, but she was very  good

Sade is curled up on my lap, don't think she has recovered yet and is so tired.. She has to stay out alot of the time, or partitioned in a part of the laundry\man cave area with the other dogs.  They have gotten used to her and don't bother her much but she much prefers to be out when the chickens are and she is sure she is going to catch one of them and game on!!!  She gets too crazy and they have to put the chickens back in their area.  And she hovered the kitchen and had to keep track of that baby!! And when i  held Novah, that was very concerning.. tried to share my lap numerous times.  She just squirrels her way in there..

It was just a great family time and JOY was had by all

   Isn't that a face? between the last time i saw them and this she has started eating soft foods.. and she is really demanding if you don't shovel it in fast enough!! 

I went for a couple  nites, we made xmas ornaments, It was fun and got some really cute ones.  u an order anything from Amazon, if you did not already know that. got cut pieces of wood with bark on it and flat ornament wood disks, of course the red and white little wooden balls with holes in them, as do the other things. rusty bells in different sizes.  all the wooden things came with rough twine and i had lots of different ribbons.. there are LOTS of ideas on Pinterest.

Novah was happy to sit and watch and bang different things on her tray.. that little seat fits right on the table, such a neat thing to have, instead of having to have a high chair ... Sade was most sad to be relegated to the back yard with the 'big' dogs... she keeps trying to catch the cat.

The Xmas tree also got decorated

 It was a very nice/great time/week-end..  we are still having almost balmy weather. Really weird..

Got my cards all done, just have to get the addressed and in the mail!!!

 The latest 'endeavor' not my best by a long shot. But it was a fun time to be out and amongst 'people' this one was sunday afternoon     at Crooked River Ranch... I would never drive out there in the dark...Steep hill down into the canyon to the Sandbagger Bar and golf course area.

Almost have all of xmas done... have to make tags and  gift cards holders...   

Not much going on.   just day to day. Not feeling well, but nothing specific, just tire easily and back issues  which makes me tired and out of sorts.  Leaves still  in the back yard.. Brian is resisting, and is putting them in the yard debris bin, which is big, but not that big. and it is only emptied every other week. so there is that, at this rate, they will barely be picked up by Spring. Just almost drives me  insane, BUT things do not have to be done on my schedule, right.? 

 This is Santa Cowboy. Done in Prineville, last Wednesday.  I spent the nite at my niece's, rather than drive home in the dark. which i can do, but don't like to.. thought he turned out pretty good, altho cheeks a little too  pink!?

i have just been staying at home, trying to save money. Everytime i go out i am spending\buying something...

Today i got all the socks, and yesterday did stocking stuffers for the girlies, and just remembered, Brian and Robins stockings. geez, wonder what i can put in those? 

this is really a funny picture.  Sade was so tired from being in Prineville the day b4...  she just can't sleep and relax but has to be all over the place, sniffing, looking. visiting the other dogs and chickens. apparently it is exhausting.

 

Isn't this a funny thing to do, apparently it is the 'thing' to do, at least this year.  she was just chill. nothing seems to bother her.  Oh she did fall over backwards when sitting on the floor and was not happy with that.... Jeri goes to put her on the floor, and she started to have a cry fit,  Jeri just kept on putting her down and said "now, now, no" and she stopping and was ok with being left there... thought that was something... she is almost 7 months.  boy, having a baby around sure shows you how time passes... this 1st year, they age and develop SO fast, turn around they are doing something  else.  She has a 1st tooth, and with no fuss either.. such a happy baby...

Don't have much else to say as not much else is happening.  I am stuck in a book, keep at it, but seems like there is so much else to do right now. and it is really not all that interesting.  it is a murder mystery, but taking the girl just forever to get anywhere and the author is letting the character just wander about, flailing about with mental health issues and she doesn't get along with most anyone. Author, Ann Cleves, British author, new to me. and this really does not make me want to rush out and get more of her books.  Just sayin'

Novah gets cuter and cuter every time i see her!!! 7 mos now!!  starting on solid foods. she gets very excited about her food.    Last week i got to give her a bottle and rock her to sleep.  she is really such a good baby. hardly have ever heard her cry.  

They have gotten all moved into the new place in Prineville. Rylie doing ok with the move, has a week in the new school and has met some girls, taking basketball and has lots of practices. she says this coach likes them to run...  

Got a dog run built and the chicken coop re-done . Jeri is getting the house 'organized' she says. 

I got a bunch of 'stuff' on Amazon  to make xmas ornaments with Rylie, wooden disks, cut out wooden snowflakes, and acrylic paints... lots of examples on Pinterest. Went to the local craft stores, Michels, Hobby Lobby and they just did not have anything  or at least what i had in mind..  

Have taken a couple more painting classes and have signed up for 3 more. What will i do with all of these? oh, well. i got 2 small canvases and am going to try some original art. think i have taken enough classes, i can maybe? figure out things to do...

 Still have leaves in the back yard... I have been really ill with back to back UIT.. have to be doing something wrong.  it makes me feel so out of sorts and just plain sick and the pain in my kidneys is incredible. then to docs or PA act like i am trying to get drugs for pain.  I ONLY use then when in pain. had some left over from 2023, are they even any good any more, and from the surgery in June this year.  now i have none and just know that i will get it again, then what.. just go in and cry, i guess 

AND have an issue with  the citrocal, it is calcium for heaven sake!!! i take 3 a day, and they will only give me 90 so a months worth, NOT 3 mos worth, which, which every month is the same thing, i run out, they have to contact the doc and get a refill order, it's like the insurance, doctor and pharmacy are not in the same universe..  I have osteoporosis. have a prolia shot twice a year and calcium levels have to be just so for them to go ahead with the shot.. and it is the same thing, every month and then just b4 the shot. bone scans are good and have improved since being on this regimen.. but geez, it gets a chore... trying to explain... got an 'emergency' fill monday and they gave me 3 pills...!!!! for one day.  went back today to get more, the prescription had not been called in by doctor, and they gave me 9 more,  slightly better, gives me 3 days... pharmacy said they have called doc 3 times, so i called them this afternoon and they said they would call it in.  like they had never been notified... if someone would just admit, they made an error or 

or listen to what i am saying,  but......

well, i guess if that is the only problem i have, then  that would be ok,, right? or a little problem... i just don't want to get to the point where i break something again, if i should fall.

Poor Brian, another one of his friends passed away on the 24th, another heart attack.. that is 3 of them. and they are only 55!!! what the heck.  they are ones with no insurance and don't go to the doctor for virtually anything..  but still...

the leaves are all off the trees here, there has been snow on the mtns.  Mt B to open the 28th, they are expecting more this weekend. 

Rylie and Jeri took me out for lunch Wednesday for Veterans Day. Went to Brand 44 N in Terrebonne of all places (just a tiny spot in the road north of Redmond about 5 miles) and there was a TON of people there. in the middle of the week!! We waited about 25 min for a sitting and it was just nice outside, clear, hardly a breeze.  I remember when we were all young, the only Veteran, Dad, had to work and we all got the day off from school... Hardly seemed fair.  Food was really good as were the libations!!!

That is about all i have, got all of my crochet projects done for xmas and a baby blanket for a baby due  in March to my dental hygenist!! I like making those little blankets and have to stretch it to find people to give/make  one for, as all the people i know are done having any kids/babies!!! She was so thrilled... i thought i could just drop it off and run, but the front desk ladies were insistant i stay and went in the back to get her... kind of embarrassing..

 We had NEW snow on the mtns!!! Had a couple warm days and now it is Fall for certain.  Supposed to get a couple freezing nights this week

 Took another painting class.. don't know., sometimes, they just don't look right, but, the process is fun and learn something new every time!

My niece got the keys to the new house!!! Went over to see them.  it is a fixer, they have alot of work in front of them. but it is liveable and prob 5X bigger than what they were in, so that will be fun for them.  There is ALOT of wallspace.  she is like me, in that, we don't like any empty spaces and fill it up with pictures and what not.  they are busy painting, cleaning.  the back yard had hardly any grass in it, mostly weeds. and he needs to build a chicken coop.. they will have a busy month ahead of them, what with working and moving...

I have most all of my yard work done, but need to make another dump run and have a couple more piles of dry sunflowers and limbs to load up the pick up. then will be all cleaned up.  even cleaned out the front yard borders, so things all look neat and lean.  but boy it is dry out there. 

 

 

 my plant, whatever it is bloomed!!! it does about once a year,  just the right amount of neglect must work for it... it is a vine and is growing all over my shelves over my workspace in craft area and is right by  a window and in the sun.

 

 

 

 

She insists  on sitting on my lap and has gotten used to yarn/string falling over her.  sometimes she takes exception, but not very often really.  she is really pretty good. right now she is letting me rest my right arm    on her while i type, so am moving all the while, and she just sleeps away...

 

 

 this is latest baby picture,  we were at a soccer game... it was one of the last really lovely days, warm and bright, with the leaves starting to turn...  after a while the wind picked up, i got cold, so had to leave early.. baby was very happy being out...

 

 

One of my former co-workers passed away.  She was more fun. We went to the Country Fair in Eugene  one year!  It was a fun time. She had bariatric surgery about a year b4 i did and developed kidney failure.  she had Lupus also, so had other mitigating issues.  But the last year has been terrible for her.  I just saw her a week ago , in of all places, the optometris .. had a good talk and hug.  I m SO glad that we 'bumped' into one another and i got to see her,  she had been recovering from  medical emergency, her port for dialysis had burst, she had to be air lifed to Bend (they live in Prineville, about 40 miles distant) so she did not look very good at that time. But still, she was the same old Debi. I will miss running into her.  We get so busy, with our little lives and what we are doing and what is going on.  we don't get to those things that will later be important to us and realize, we should have made time. I got my great cat Miki from them  had gone to their house to ride horses a couple times. Her husband called me 'hippy lady' cuz i took his wife to a hippy gathering.. We worked side by side for about 5 years. she went on to work for the prison system as a guard. She was a great worker and was a dream to train.   only had to tell her something once, rarely did it take more than that  I will miss her.  we never did get a picture together

 She loves laying in the sun in her yard..

It's almost the end of September.. can barely believe it and it is getting dark by 8P!! 

 People ask what i've been doing.... what? cleaning up yard.  We had a large tree taken down and now am having remorse... BUT... we got a city compliance notice, as it sat right by the road and the limbs would get down below 10'  i guess... we had already cut so many limbs off, that the ones left were really high up. Brian keeps reminding me that he is 55!! and can't be  climbing to the top of ladders or hanging off limbs with a chainsaw.  The tree also caused probs a couple years ago, the roots were making the sidewalk and the apron of the driveway bow up, causing a tripping hazard, soooo, oh, and it was starting to do that again, and that cost alot to get the sidewalk redone .. AND in the summer it produced berries, black berries that the birds ate, then would poop purple all over the cars.  it was a messy tree.. was here when we moved in, someone chose to plant it.  We never spared any water for it and it still stayed alive... so, now it is gone and that side of the house, in the afternoon sun is pretty unbearable.  So am going to look for another tree to put out there, not in the same place (they charge $300 more to grind out the stump) but inside the property line, that has roots that do not spread upward or sucker... leaves are ok as they blow away there and go into other peoples yards, hahaha.  also had a shrub, large cedar thing    that just kept getting lager and larger and impended parking fully on that parking pad back there.  It leaves the backyard a bit more open.  But had some lilac bushes inside the fence that were starved for light and maybe they will now do better, get bigger.. bloom more. tht was the big excitement around here,

I have been doing white crochet.  find it activates the brain, to try to figure out some of these patterns, but the more i do it, the more it is coming somewhat easier.  Learned i have to do exactly as it says! Sometimes, figuring that out is the task.  Have had to rip out i don't even know how many rows and go back to fix something.. BECAUSE if u miss a step or do it wrong, eventually u will come to a place where there is no where to put in your next stitch!! and no matter how hard u try to think of an alternative, it just will NOT wok. Believe me, i have tried....

 Here is one i   just finished... using them as xmas gifts... maybe people don't use doilies anymore... don't care, it is something from the old lady that lives next door.  or look at what my Aunt Loree made!!! 40 years from now when i am dead and gone.  Also finished one tht was a table runner , 1 foot by 4 feet.  THAT one hurt when i had to take out 5 rows!!!!!!!!!!

 Also took another painting class... signed up for a couple more... it is fun and gets me out of the house for an evening and be sociable.  Have not a clue what i am going to do with them all.  they are now stacked up in front of the TV bookcase and i change them out periodically for a change of scenery. HA

 

 Haven't seen the baby in awhile, here is the last picture of her.  she has started rolling over!! They sent a video of her, she got one arm straight beside her and used the other as leverage, waving it about and plop she was on her tummy!!

Still close to 80 here everyday and then really cools down at night. but next week is supposed to bring a change.  we will see, It is really dry ...   

 

Also go the doctor appointments.  Haven't found anything wrong with me yet, haha.. mostly just checkups an other things, shots, x-rays.. doing well. getting old.. Can hardly believe i am so close to 80!!! When we used to think 40 would be  on a downward slide to old age... got two new pairs of glasses, you know where u pay an extraordinary amount for one pair and u get the 2nd one free... and have decided i don't like either one. have gone back twice now for adjustments and still don't stay where they are supposed to on my nose!!! one had to even be sent back to redo the lenses as the progressive thing was in the wrong place!!!! Have never had that happen to me b4...

So, i do yard work,read, crochet, get groceries, go to doc appts, paint, laundry, chores around here, things always need to be done... watch tv... listen to Alexis music while doing some of these things...  oh dear, u have to say Alexa NOT Alexis.....  been put in my place..
