The drive up the mtn to friends house is a 16% grade and pretty hairy for me to drive, but i was stopping and making sure the RV coming behind me made corners... so took pics as waiting...
Sacia in her classroom... they have separate 'pods' for the grades and her 3rd building has 5 rooms and teachers in it. The doors all lock when shut.
This is some of the 'flats' along that road from Barstow to 29 Palms... You know it just looks like a desparate place, house's are run down and garbage around them, old/rusty cars, no grass, lots of dirt , they are apart from one another, not right next to each other, so there is some property involved, but it just looks like hard scrabble to make things work. Land, one would assume is cheaper out in this area. And what? they have wells???
there is a cenyon that we go thru to get to Moreno Valley and there alot of horses and horse ranches in there . We saw 4 coyotes running thru a field.. weird.....

There is oleander blooming, not much else and some trees apparently do not loose their leaves, but many have (different kinds of trees, one may assume) and there are many different kinds and looking palm trees, even some really large bushes that look just like the tops of the palms, but not the trunk, don't think i ever noticed that before...
We had a day of rest today, there was some cleaning and laundry and getting things prepared for tomorrow and i think 3 other people are coming for dinner... turkey is thawing...
OH!!!! and it just poured rain for most of the day!!! Everyone seems excited to have the rain... went out tonight and there were wet spots but no running water or puddles left..
