Along the Lincoln Hwy... My fav rest stop, it is huge, lots of stalls... AND it was fairly clean!!!
Stopped at Cabela's in Sidney, NE cuz i have always wanted to, it is BIG, LOTS of 'stuff' even have a room solely for camo stuff... cool.. but lots of stuffed animals.. :( poor things.
Played whack a mole with freight trucks ALL day, speed up, slow down, in/out. Had to go onto an exit to no where, as i was having a difficult time eating my ice cream drumstick.. haha... couldn't get that cover off to get to the good stuff and melting FAST..
95 and humidity here in Nebraska.... BUT we are in great AC hotel with POOL and the car AC is full blast and we move fast between one place and another, hahahahaha Had a great burger at Hardees tonight, even tho the little guy at the window was a bit surley... oh, well, it takes a beat to make up your mind, right?
one or two observations.... there is basically no litter on the road way and have see NO homeless the whole time..

This tree is in the middle of the two lanes and through time people have taken care to leave it alone and even moved the hwy and made it work to leave the tree as is,,, many people have commented on it thru time, even early train travelers, as the train would stop so people could view it...
the epitome of persistence to start and continue to grown up through that rock!!!
Jim always had to stop at Cabellas or Bass Pro wherever we went. I made sure I had a book along. We stopped at that tree back in 2013. Fun memories. Keep on having fun and enjoy that ice cream.
