 We made it to Patti's house..

All is well.  Boy in Iowa City the traffic really picked up, practically bumper to bumper all the way.. AND i could not remember, exactly, how to get to her, friend Patty, house, was in the general area, but that does not really get u to the destination, right?  Had to make a phone call.. becuz of course did not have her address in my phone contacts.. will have to correct that.

And we made ourselves right at home.... (don't fall over laughing, Darah)  It is just difficult to be organized somewhere different than your own place, where things have a place to live..

Got to hear the cicadas tonite.... creepy as always, but Rylie had to have a lesson in bugs.. she wondered how she was going to sleep with that???

Stopped at the 1st Culver's Google found for us where we were on road at the time, Rylie did it..  kids these days...West Des Moines, it was like a whole area that was a NEW town (Waukee), everything was new!!! Weirdest thing! and the freeway was being rerouted and there was a detour to get back on, very stressful, but we made it! did not even get lost, (as with destination)  Hot and humid... same old story... but the house has air and it is very nice indeed...

AND i left my electric toothbrush in the Hotel in North Platte!!!

Only roadkill was 3 groundhogs, anyway that is what they looked like... can't say was too very upset about that...  even tho they are one of God's creatures too, but don't know what they are good for in the chain of life...
