Right across the road in front of the house was the ocean slamming up against rocks and the outlet for the Yachats River which isn't really very big, but it pumped out alot of water. and it was fun watching the tide going in and out of there. We spent alot of time in the chairs looking out the window at the sea, sun, rainbow, setting sun and assorted people and dogs that went by, it was a great walking place for people! There was an older man and woman (husband and wife) they were so cute, they had a larger cocker spaniel, male, old. and he walked verrrryyyyy sloooowwwww... one would hold the leash and walk by the dog and the other wold power walk ahead and then back and they would change places... morning and evening. Jeri took Rylie to the Sea Lion Caves... i have been there many times and have no desire to be subjected to that smell.... OMG... BUT this time there were 175 in there and that would have been neat to see. some times i have been there and there were very few. We had good seafood, and the best ever clam chowder in a small place by the ice cream store in Yachats, for get the name of the place, but it was very good and good service too. everyone was very kind and polite. we had a more than good time. even had some home cooked meals at the house... went into Newport to the old town part only... stopped at some beaches, only ever found ONE agate... had really good weather, the last full day it got kind of crappy and windy in the afternoon and evening, but this morning was nice again... had a good drive home... On the way there we got to see fiends and have lunch with the at Killer Daves Burgers in Eugene, was very good, once again...and always great to see good friends,Jeri's and mine!!
I will et the following pictures speak for themselves..
Outside and inside
Our view
I am able to post maybe. Boy, that sounds like a relaxing amazing time. I especially like the picture of sitting in the chairs watching the water move. I can understand why Rylie no longer wants to be blessed with Sade's presence at night. Ours slept (?) with us and every time they moved, I woke up. Glad you had a great time.
