Isn't she the cutest ever?? This was the 1st time we let Sade in the same room. she did fairly well.. was VERY excited at 1st, then calmed down quite a bit.. and it was easy to keep her down and not stick her nose in Novah's face. I have started a reading program.. it makes no difference what you read, just that you do. and Robt Service has a nice cadence to his story/ poetry i guess.. she liked the Cremation of Sam McGee!!! Just watched me. i am sure she could feel the vibrations of the words i was speaking. Mom (who was a teacher for 25 yrs) always said the way to make a reader was to read to them ALL the time as they are growing up. She had a system she said in how she held my bottle and the book and read to me at most all feedings. And i am and have always been a voracious reader, always have a book going, sometimes 2 or 3. and always carry one with me, you never know when u have to wait for something, appts, waiting for prescriptions to b filled, you know how you are always waiting for one thing or another. I think the 1st time went well..
She pooped and it went all up her back and she had to have a complete change and wipe up!! Sade was quite interested in that whole procedure. But i am going to have to find some Dr Seuse somewhere, Costco? Brian has all of his children books packed up in the shed, way in the back, i guess. so it feels hopeless to find any of those..I try to see her every week. her hair has gotten much longer, but still stands straight up!! and she is out of the newborn clothes.. she seems like such a chill little thing, have not seen her having a fit yet.. either sleeping or soberly watching all about. getting better holding her head up, not quite so floppy about.
I did have surgery, had some complications of the bariatric surgery i had in 2012 that needed to be addressed. Boy i felt OLD at 1st. recovering from surgery is no joke as you age. but it has been 10 days and i am perking right up and introducing foods other than a liquid diet, which is a chore and w/o anything to chew is hard, just to drink everything, and i found that cottage cheese blended to death no longer tastes like itself!! But ENSURE mocha/cafe is really ok and has 30 grams of protein.. so that may be something for breakfast!
It is so very old here, 52 out.. even had to turn the heat up, BUT supposed to heat up next week. I mean it does not feel like summer at all!!!
My son turned 55 today.. he was born on Father's Day in 1970... sooooo long ago...
Take Care all and God Bless
